New puppy, Stella!

Soon I'll post some pics of her, but I have a new dog!

Today while I was at school my parents went to the humane society and picked up a little dog named Dorathy. She looks sort of like a Chihuahua/jack russel/yorkie mix, but she's a quiet, gentle, yet playful, little mutt. I love her already. Also, the humane society estimated her to be about a year old.

She was apparently a stray. Sure, she doesn't act like it and she is constantly begging for attention and wagging her little tail, but she was. She was rescued a week ago off the streat and "fixed" yesterday. They put her out to be adopted today, seems a bitearly, but they did. She scored very high on her behavior/personality test, too.

We took her home and decided dorathy did NOT suit her at ALL. We renamed her Stella (She only had the name Dorathy for a week while she was with the humane society) After the beer. Plus it suits her well. We don't know her true personality seeing as she is recovering from surgery and is exhausted and grouchy.

I have a pembroke welsh corgi named Jake and he kept acting spastic and she growled at him. e got nipped a few times when he touched "her" toy. After that they got along pretty well, Jake was doing playful jerks, and it looked like Stella really wanted to join him but couldn't.

Aww, she sounds cute! She'll probably be much better once she heals up from her surgery. What a lucky dog to get a home so quickly!

I just took some pictures of her (She's asleep... as you can tell) She also happens to have a huge "mohawk" on her back, she definatly needs a good fur-cut.

Lol thanks everyone! We call that little brown spot behind her eye her "special mark" (= yes it isn't dirt LOL.

The cutest thing was watching her standing on the couch with Jake on the ground. All of a sudden Jake started jerking at the couch, putting his face near her then jerking away when she came near, trying to get her to play. When she did a very enthusiastic playful twitch back, Jake ran all over the house with happiness LOL. That corgi just cracks me up...

Lol, good luck getting past my Corgi that barks up a storm whenever anyone comes near (Hey, he doesn't HURT them though, he just begs for attention)

Stella is way more active today. Now she's weaving around people and leaping onto the forbidden couch (2 couches forbidden to dog, a huge one and a small one for the dogs) And she's being friendlier towards Jake. Her current method of playing is to put her claws on Jakes head and lick him... then jake stabs her with his snout lol.
