Koi Angel Fish

so i've been looking at YT videos of koi angels. Just wondering, are they Koi that look like an angel. Or an angel looked like a koi? or did koi and angels somehow cross breed??

Koi Angel Fish just have a similar color pattern to koi. There is no way to cross breed Koi and Angel Fish. They have much different breeding patterns, and Angels are MUCH smaller than Koi. Hope this helps!

I have a Koi angelfish. It's definitely an Angelfish that looks like a koi, not the other way round.

Pretty looking fish.

Yes, not a hybrid, just an angelfish with similar patterning to a koi.

Koi Angelfish can grow as large as any other type of angelfish (I've seen koi angelfish over 5" across).

I'd love them in their own tank, or in a tank of similarly tempered fish. Not too sure I'd add them to a betta community tank, though... angelfish can be nippy (they are a type of chiclid).

They are peaceful with any fish that doesn't fit in their mouths. However, they may become nippy.

I wonder if anyone has successfully come up with an all orange/gold angel fish? If angels can get the 'koi' pattern, it should be possible... eventually...

I've seen all-yellow angelfish in my local fish shop.
They looked similar to these...

Oooooo, pretty! :)

My mom kept angel fish years ago, and all we ever saw where we lived was black striped and silver.
