We were at PetCo today and I was taken back at the HUGE selection of Betta fish they had!! They had everything from Veiltails to King Betta to Halfmoon Doubletail Plakats. Well, she found this good looking doubletail male that was nearly transparent and you could see his organs and whatnot! It was pretty cool :D So anyways, she really wanted him but was on the fence as to whether or not to get him...so of course, I chimed in saying "Look at these decorations you could get him" or "What would you name him?" and the more direct approach of "Do it...do it...do it...do it...get him...get him...get him...GET HIM!!!" Then to top it off, I told her I would give her my extra bowl :D She got him of course after that, so now she has two fine gentlemen-Betta fish. The cashier said "Ohh, he looks like a little merman!" so we named him "Merman" (pronounced mer-min [[the name]]) :) It was either that, or Pete so I said we should combine the two and name him "PeeWee Merman" but she decided to just make it "Merman" hahah

Well she already has a Betta...and part of the reason why I looked into Betta fish. I have just grown more addicted to them than she has :)

I remember when I convinced my friend Tina to get her betta G-Fish.He's pretty cool.He's a peachy/fleshy color and he's a big boy.Except whenever she's laying on her bed he just STARES at her and he attacks pencils.He's a weirdo.But good job getting your friend to get one!8D

My man tolerates it because 1) I don't ask him for anything for any of my fish set-ups and 2) I'm helping him with a 20 gallon Hawaiian Reef tank which IS expensive and IS hard/time consuming... Let's think, $2000 reef tank vs. MY $40 set-ups? Hmmm....
