So I saw the thread with the four ray crowntails and now I'm jealous

. I've been wanting to make my own line of bettas from pet store fish for a while but I haven't done anything yet because I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted, but now I definitely want to breed 4 ray crowntails. So I'm asking the experts! I have a male who has some 4 ray branches but his fins are pretty messy and unorganized and I have a male with double and single branches that are really nice, which should I use if I want to get 4 rays? I was thinking I should use the male with the messy fins and breed him with a female who has double rays that are balanced. What do you think?
(PS- I know I will have to cull and provide space and homes for the fry etc.)
