Stress?

Well, it's been a few days since I got Dixie from my friend and she has some stress stripes, but I'm not sure what I need to do in order to make her feel less stressed out. She's not sitting around doing nothing, but I don't want her to be stressed out. At the moment she's in a 1 gallon until the 2.44 gallon is cleaned out from when Luka (Vocaloid's last fish that is now under the rainbow bridge) died for some strange reason. Could it be because of the small tank size? At the moment I have 2 plants and a toy horse in the tank with her. Could that be too many items for the tank or too less? (I'm so clueless about these things...)

females stress easy. my PK girl, will stress up if i feed her(no lie), if i get too close to her tank, if i move her tank, and she stresses and pales so badly when i change her water. i'm sure she'll settle down after a while. :3

I'm not saying that she's not going to get better, but what happens if she doesn't settle down after a few days? Will she die or be unactive? Just the thought makes me nervous. (Just relax...)

does she have anything to hide in? a mug that's been cleaned really well with lots of hot water and no soap could do in a pinch. might make her feel a bit safer if she can hide

She doesn't have anything to hide in at the moment, but I'll be sure to get her something for that purpose. If I would've thought about it while I was at Petco I would've already had something prepared. (Dixie, you have to start remembering these things...)
