I'm not confused, yet. I'm used to enthusiasms bubbling over.

I checked our local Wallyworld and no Hawkeye, so I'll look online. Tank first, then fish, right guys?

Yup - that is the usual way, but SOMETIMES......

Since you already have fish, I know you know about water conditioner. IMO/E (and many others here) the best is Prime. It is economical using only 2 drops per gallon and takes care of all kinds of nasty stuff - chlorine, chlorimines, heavy metals, etc.

As far as food goes, pellets seem to be the #1 choice. I am a BIG believer in New Life Spectrum (ALL my fish get it), but there are other good ones out there as well.

5 gallon for a desk at work is probably the best route. Adequate housing space for your betta, minimal footprint taking over your desk.

That Hawkeye is a great deal, Lionmom finds all the amazing deals on this board
