I have 3 and none worked correctly. I have read how every now and then someone gets one that works right but I am just not wasting my time on them anymore.

I just think for the price...They're only a few dollars cheaper than the decent adjustable...So you might as well go with a good adjustable...It seems like sometimes the tetras work...sometimes they don't...sometimes they do...It's not very reliable I don't think...My sister bought hers the same time I bought mine..and hers still is working ok..However, she is using it in a 2 gallon. So I guess for a 1.5 it may work nicely! But.. It didn't do much for my 5 gallon for too long.AND it was the 100 watt. Plus..They're kinda bulky looking in my opinion..

I got the heater, the Tetra one I mentioned before. I put it at the bottom of the tank, (I also changed the gravel, marbles weren't for me :) ) I decided to get the fish tomorrow since I just got conditioner and the heater, another 24 hours should do.
Here's a picture..

Just make sure you get a thermometer so you can monitor the temp, you don't want to cook your new fishy :)

LOL haha I do that all the time. I will go to the store, buy my fish stuff and forget about it. Then ten hours later I am like "OMG I left the fish stuff in the car!!" and it is like two in the morning and I am really scared but I still go outside to the car because I want my fish to have their new stuff lol.
