safe?

You know how at walmart they have those ivy plants with roots going into the bettas water? Is it safe to add plants like this?

I don't know the specific plants you are talking about, but many people do put floating plants in their betta aquariums. The roots hang down in the water. Just make sure your tank is big enough that your betta has lots of room to swim. :)

Ah, those? I think that kind of ivy is fine. My gran did that with her betta fish and it caused her no harm... if anything it kept him a little alive, since she didn't quite take care of him. X_x
She had the mindset of most new betta owners... stick a plant in and he'll eat it if he's hungry.

I MEAN... she did feed him betta pellets. And water changes. Occassionally.
But now that I know better, man I wish I knew then so I could help her out...

... what is it with me rambling on today.
