Yes and yes. I filled the tank two days ago, and added the conditioner yesterday because I wasn't sure on how much to add (but I got that question answered on another thread here) And thank you, I love his color :)

Hmm I don't know what could be causing your water to be cloudy. First I thought maybe dust from the gravel, but if you rinsed it well then I'm not sure. Sometimes when I fill up a container with warm water, the water looks cloudy for a little while, but it usually clears up pretty quickly, so I doubt that's what's going on if you've had it filled for two days. Sometimes a filtered tank will cloud up due to bacterial bloom as the tank cycles, but I can't imagine that would be happening so soon. Sorry, maybe someone else can weigh in.

By the way, I forgot how much Betta's can have a personality! I have a feisty little guy, but he seems a bit shy. Probably because he's getting used to his new surroundings- better than the filthy cup he lived in. He seems really happy though, which makes me happy! I keep trying to turn the filter on, but he seems to kind of get scared by it, he swims around really fast and goes in his cave. Maybe he'll go filterless.

What's baffling mean? Sorry this is actually my first filter, my Betta I had a few years ago didn't have a filter, so I don't know what that is.
