The first betta settled in well, the plants were doing so-so. I thought he might like a bit of company so I brought him a female. She promptly ate him.
Back to the store for betta #3 who is still doing quite well, it’s been about 4 weeks.

I'm pretty sure this is an old article now... well, maybe no, BiOrbs aren't that old... But Still! D:
And she didn't specify if she was feeding the algae eaters or not. But by the fact that she didn't know male + female betta = bad trouble in so many ways tell me that no, she probably isn't feeding them. D8

The 4 gallon has a male betta and an African dwarf frog. They make great companions. The betta eats betta food, the frog eats freeze dried blood worms and so there is no competition between them.

I lol'd at the fact they don't know bettas love bloodworms. I bet she knows now. If the betta's still alive... D;

What's wrong with the custom fish tank in the video you posted?

it almost looked like the males and females could swim together, but if you look close, you can see a chunk of plastic with holes drilled in it, separating the males.

It specifically says in the description that it is a 20 gallon tank sectioned into 4. Two of the sections are linked and allow a sorority of 5 females to swim around and the other two are partitioned off to house individual males. That's why I asked.

I only saw the article that held the video. I didn't actually go to the Youtube page to read the description. (Prolly should have.)
And I also didn't notice the plastic that kept the males out of the female's sides.... |D
