Lots of commosion around betta

First of all my betta is in a ten gallon tank, my bedroom is above the garage so ever since i got my fish ive been tip toeing around because it shakes with every step, but my parents still run the garage door opener and he freaks out and darts into his leaves, also cars drying by all the time, neighbours EVERY morning whipper snipping, cutting down trees in their yard, mowing, i live around a lake so theirs boats and even more distant mowing ALL the time lol, my dogs always barking, so i was wondering if theres anything i could do, like maybe wrapping a towel around his tank to minimize noise? Thanks

ah, lots of new members lately, welcome! :D
hmm. is he new? he may get used to it eventually, but i think putting a towel around his tank would definitely help with reducing the noise/vibration. it will calm him down somewhat. but.. in the long run, are you going to keep the towel around the tank the whole time? need to think about a long term solution...

Welcome to the forum.
I would probably consider moving the tank to a less shaky location if just walking is causing the tank to shake...or maybe try keeping some music or a tv on to muffle out the sounds of everything else.
What kind of stand are you using for your tank? getting a stand that is more "solid" may help a bit too maybe...

Thanks for replying :) He is new, came home about a week ago, hes not on a proper stand hes on a side table.. long term thinking im probably going to move his tank, thank u both

Definitely place him somewhere steady. You don't want an accident to happen and see the tank spilled or have it fall off the table, remain in tact, but have your poor little fishy squashed by a decoration. He may be very stressed by all the commotion, but the outside noise shouldn't bother him. I would focus on keep the tank still as soon as possible.
