Octo having difficulties

While feeding the scaly children last night, a pellet somehow got stuck on top of Octo's thermometer. Octo kept hanging out near it and trying to hop up to get the food. After taking a few pictures, I finally took pity and got it out for him.

His tail is also very slowly growing back! Shh - don't tell him! The pictures aren't the best - sorry!

If you squint, you can see the pellet on top of his thermometer.

Too cute!

He apparently thought his fins tasted good and decided to start nomming on them. >.< He hasn't taken a bite out of them since I moved him to a 3gal so hopefully he's being too entertained by his new toys to think about biting his tail.

Edit - in the last picture you can see his sad pouty face. Poor guy. I was a mean mom.
