Before and After! :)

So here's the chronology of it...

When we got Casper he had short fins for a HM. You can see how disproportionate his anal fin and caudal fin were. I suspect finrot was to blame.

Then some things happened... You'll notice in the first picture, taken the day we got him, his ventral fins look just fine. Well Casper got stuck to the filter intake, and both his ventral fins broke while being pulled into it... First they were bent, but then the dead parts came off, and he had nubs for a while. (We covered the intake that day to protect him.) Then we attempted to have shrimp. Casper and the glass shrimp wound up competing during feeding time, and there was fin damage... His fins suddenly got real short, and Casper decided to eat them instead of compete.

Part 2

Safe and shrimpless, his fins finally started to grow past their condition on Day 1. We also redid decorations with live plants. There's Java Moss, a Marimo Ball, and Parrot's Feather. And now.... Oh, he's doing so good! You can see how his ventral fins have come back.

I couldn't help but throw in a picture of Apollo The Snail and my bird. ><
