Barry is pale.

Housing
What size is your tank? 1.5 gal
What temperature is your tank? 78 degrees
Does your tank have a filter? Yes, I run it for 1-2 hours a day (Barry doesn't really like the noise)
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration? No
Is your tank heated? Yes
What tank mates does your betta fish live with? None

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish? Topfin Color Enhancing Betta Bits
How often do you feed your betta fish? Two in the morning, one in the afternoon, two at night

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change? I just got him Saturday, but I plan to do it once a week..
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change? 100%
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change? Tetra water conditioner

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:


Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed? He's pale, the blue on him is lighter aswell as the green and his head, which is usually the color black, is gray.
How has your betta fish's behavior changed? It hasn't he's still very active and swimmy.
When did you start noticing the symptoms? About an hour ago.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? No
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Not that I know of
How old is your fish (approximately)? He's fairly young.

No behavior change whatsoever, he still eats his pellets and he still swims around. Just pale. I took the temp of his water and it's at a solid 78 as always.

I would start with a water change and see if that improves his colour.

This is not enough. In a 1.5 you should do at least two 50% and one 100% a week. The filter doesn't really help in something that small, especially if it is never on.

Can you post some pics? Sometimes bettas just change colors.

It's really hard to see with the pictures. He just looks lighter than before. I'll post a picture the day I got him, though.

Just so you know, the water changes you plan to do aren't enough. In a 1.5 you should do at least two 50% and one 100% a week. The filter doesn't really help in something that small, especially if it is never on.
