He's here. A lil assistance needed.

After yesterdays drama, I went to 2 post offices this morning to find my fish. Got him. He looks a lil rough....

If you could PLEASE look at the pics. It almost looks like his top fin has been torn? But could that just be his coloring? Then look at his eyes, they are huge....is that normal??

*I transferred him to a petstore container....with his water and a lil from his new tank. I spent about an hour with him but had to leave for work. I left him floating (he's secure) in his tank. I am a little worried about the fin & the eyes. *

In my opinion, his eyes look normal. If he tore his fins, I'd just make sure to keep his water clean and maybe add some aquarium salt to his water and he should heal back to normal in no time! :]

He looks a little stressed maybe..You could also try keeping his light off and adding a little IAL so that he can relax. He is so pretty!

What a beauty......

Make sure you do a slow acclimation to both temp and chemistry by adding small amount of tank water to his holding container floating in the tank for an hour or so....turn off the lights and hold food for the first 24h...add IAL or oak leaf if you have some to his tank and holding container- so it can steep while acclimating him as well.....

Right now you just want to acclimate and give him time to de-stress from the trip.......

Thanks. I had put a almond leaf in there 3 days ago ..... I let him float all day then added little bits of water in. Finally released him an hour ago.

I just came back home and he seemed a l stressed trying to go from bottom to top for air. I felt bad watching him so I am floating a critter keeper in his tank so at least tonight will be a lil more relaxing for him. I hope that does him good.....?
