Ok...maybe the title is a
litttle bit of an over exaggeration..
maybe..But I believe it truly did save my fish.
My guy Batman fell ill ...
again... after I tried to introduce him into a bigger tank (the divided 10 gallon) he laid on his side at the bottom...The white fuzz was back again! It covered his fins and his face. He wouldn't eat...clamped fins..pale..he wouldn't swim..I moved him back into his .75 gallon critter keeper QT. He continued to lay at the bottom motionless on his side...at one point I thought my little guy had passed away..His little gills and eyes weren't moving at all..I steeped a half leaf of IAL in some warm water and then added it to the QT. with a little aquarium salt and went to bed...The next morning my little guy was nipping at the leaf pieces on top of the water and swimming around..His fins were a bit clamped and he was still a little pale..but 3 days later (today) He is looking much more lively and his fins are un clamped! He still has a slight amount of the fuzz but mostly it is gone. Here is to hoping he recovers nicely the rest of the way! I look forward to moving him into a bigger unfiltered tank soon...Hopefully it wont stress him sick again!
