Ahh, DQ, I know the feeling. lol
thing happened today at the barn-
We had just gotten inside for a lesson, and we go for about 5 minutes, and out of nowhere the wind just starts up and blows tons of dust into the barn... and the little vents on the walls were flapping loudly and everyones' horses were a bit spooky. So we closed the big door so that no more dust could get in, and we mounted our horses again and continued.
A minute or so later, out of nowhere you hear these HUGE thumps on the tin roof (very loud- told once we got out it was hail the size of golf-balls- you had to yell to be heard) and our horses start going BERSERK. They start cantering dangerously close to a gallop, completely tense, throwing their heads around and threatening to buck. So very carefully we all get off our spooking horses (they stopped for about a few second or so, and you had to time it really carefully, or else you'd be halfway off of them and they'd keep going and you'd get dragged around the ring). SOOO then we had to gather up our reins and avoid being trampled, and we held on to the reins and they'd canter around us in rather haphazard in circles, snorting and pawing at the ground. You had to watch them, or else you'd get stepped on. haha
Can you all tell I'm pumped full of adrenaline? I don't think I've ever typed that much in a while. And I'm honestly not exaggerating. It was that wild.
