New Tank For Pizazz, AB HM!

Here is the new 10gal tank for Pizazz! He gets it all to himself.....unless I find another amazing fish and divide it

I have a small sponge filter, heater (hope it does its job), and the lamp witch also puts out a lot of heat. Trust me....all these tanks and lights in my room...I have to open a window sometimes. But the Bettas love it....nice and humid. I did a water test after chemicals. Everything was fine, PH I will have to keep an eye on.

I so can't wait to have him home! Lots of pictures to come when I do ^_^

LOL...........just noticed I spelled his name wrong in the photo XD

Thank you. I am debating on putting gravel in. I have never done bare bottom before. What do you think?

Your fish room sounds like ours. My heaters stay unplugged as I quickly found out they don't even auto turn on anymore, haha. Room stays a toasty 80F+, 24/7.

OMG! I cant believe you got him! wow! 83 He is so pretty, and his tank looks great!!

I think bare bottom tanks look a little clinical though, but if you like it...

they look gross really fast. >.>; trust me. Theo's tank is bare-bottom, and it gets covered in poop in a day. .___. ewies. so, unless you don't mind sucking up poops daily, use gravel/rocks/sand/whatever. :d

I myself just switched from a tank with no gravel to a tank with gravel and boy can I tell you how dirty a gravel-free environment gets. Lets just say that it is not a pretty sight.

I have also read up about the importance of using gravel in a tank as a means to house the bacteria properly, it had to do with cycling the tank before first use, something about the ammonia or and nitrate. Do some research on it before you take me word please I can not find the source of that.

I did notice that certain waste is a lot less apparent with gravel as oppose to without.
