Kritter Keeper Decor Heater Suggestions Needed.

I got a critter keeper for my buddy Batman...I am not sure how to go about decorating it.Can I use sand in a critter keeper or would that cause scratches? Also can anyone recommend some nice fake plants that wont scratch or rip my lil fishes fins. I usually stick with real plants..But with this critter keeper I kind of want to go in a more colorful direction...Also what type of heaters are safest to use in a ccritter keeper?

I was told not to use a heater in a critter keeper. The guy at the lfs said it may not do well, but I cannot imagine it melting it or something. But I'm sure if you search around enough you can find out that will work in there.

I believe they need to start making their own brand of kritter keeper safe heaters...
Maybe I will just try one and see what happens..
Definitely not going to try a glass heater though..those get pretty hot!

I have a stealth pro I use in my kritter keeper to heat up the water before changes and I have not had any problems with it at all so I don't think there is any problems using heaters in them

I have five kritter keepers (all sizes) and have been using the tetra preset heaters, a marine stealth, and the mini hydors with no problems for my fish for over a year now, no problems :)
