Re-did a couple of betta tanks

Hello! I have several betta fish, and I decided to get them all in 10 gallon tanks with dividers, so I have 2 per 10. I designed two today, and I wanted to post photos of them to see what y'all thought.

They're kind of sparsely decorated atm. My plan is for each to have a small piece of driftwood with a java fern tied on it, a cave of sorts, and a little decoration of sorts. I'll likely do an Asian theme with all of them.

I agree. I'll be getting each a java fern soon, and I'm debating on a tall plant in the back. Maybe water wisteria.

If you like, amazon sword is a great, lush plant that would like your tank. Substrate needs to be about 3in deep, but its worth it. Do not bury the rhisome of your fern, as it will die. Rooting it to those rocks will work well, too, if you want.

Some members purchase fake silk flowers from craft stores and use them in their tanks, too. I personally adore buying lilies (large ones), whose leaves make great places when placed on their sides for bettas to hide, sleep and play in.

Make sure the plants are no scented, not sharp and if they have metal in them, that it is removed. Soak in warm water for a few days beforehand to make sure it doesnt leech color, and if it does, keep soaking until it doesnt any more.

Its a great, cheaper alternative to decorate large tanks!

This is a good idea..I plan on going silk/fake plants with my critter carrier..atleast a few anyways..
