^ thanks!

Okay, whether it's male or female, I'm sticking with Ryu for the name!

It's definietly possible Ryu's a juvie PK. He reminds me of some of the show qualities dragons I saw on AB and they were Plakats. Either way he/she is beautiful!

Aw thanks!

Ryu has a little bit of a... sunken in eye. I'm pretty sure he/she doesn't have popeye, too. I started another thread about it, but it's still worrying. I hope it's nothing serious...

THanks!

I think Ryu's a female. Not only because I spotted an ovipastor (was that right? the white dot?) but because he/she stares at me head on rather than turning sideways and trying to attack me (lol). Then again, this still points to either juvie or female (But juvenile male behavior, is it different?)

I think you have a young male. Males can still have oviposters when they are young and their bodies are also more streamlined. He's really pretty, so glad you found him!

He looks quite male to me. :) Robert's dorsal was like that before he calmed down and unfurled it a little. It's since grown quite a bit. Actually, he also always looks at me head on. :/ He only glares from the side when I put up a mirror. He must be gender-neutral in spirit. xD

Also, those ventrals do not look girly at all. :B

male, male, male, male male! Nice pk male you have there. His anal fin is not a female PK fin, and I can see his ventrals, which are definitely male.

Thanks everyone! As suspected then, Ryu is a juvie PK (Unless as he ages his fins become something else?) I'm not sure why but that makes me glad, I guess it's because was prepared for a male.

Interesting fact about my LFS,where I got him. They have well over a THOUSAND Bettas there, and 95% are healthy and in clear, clean water. Everyone gives them the VT's and CT's they breed and they get probably 50-100 thailand fish every visit (the fancy ones are the thailand ones) "That place just AMAZES me (they have a room just for Bettas and keep all the giants and HM's possible in 1 gallon tanks) Next time I visit I'll post some pics!
