Yay!

I've had my male CT for exactly one week and he started building a bubble nest today! ^_^ It makes me super happy, although when I got off work, most of the bubbles were gone and they are kinda spread out all over the tank, so I'm thinking he's not very experienced with the whole nest building thing, teehee. I hope it means he's a happy boy and not* only* that he's ready to breed!

Here's to bigger and better bubble nests! <3

It was truly a sign of relief when Aki built a huge nest next to his heater. Before that though he was blowing bubbles all over the tank.

Maka has herself a tiny bubble nest and has been blowing bubbles all over the top of her tank too. Congrats on your boys nest!

always so exciting, that first bubble nest
I swear I check his tank every day to see if he's built a new one just to giggle

I'm not sure about breeding quite yet. I want to EVENTUALLLLLLLY. But I want everything to be just right. :)

The females DO build nests too, then?! My new females have been building nests all over the place too! They are so darn cute! I woke up today and saw all these little nest bubbles in the female tank and was like" what?!" I've never had females, only males, so I'm excited!

Yes, my male is putting bubbles all over, not in one place, LOL.

And..they beg for food so badly! I need to write "I will NOT overfeed my bettas." 1000x on the chalkboard! Seriously, my fish are worse than my two dogs!! <3

Yes, girls can build nests! I've seen bubblenests in the sorority at times, and have always wondered who it was. Oh my goodness .... I just happened to glance over at my tiny CT girl, Frigga. She has the tiniest little nest in the corner. Too cute <3
