My Mess of an OHM Male from AB

Like many folks here, I jumped at the chance to buy a fish with free priority shipping from Hopdiggity on AquaBid. I read posts from several here that their fish were arriving in 2-3 days. Not sure what happened, but my guy took 5 days. I'm not blaming the seller. I had the option to pay the extra $20 for shipping but didn't.

Anyway, he arrived in cold water and had done a number on his tail. He doesn't even look like the same fish. I guess we've got some work to do to get him back to his AquaBid photo form.

I haven't named him yet. I'm a little depressed about the situation and feel like I shouldn't have bought him and put him through this ordeal.

Here's the AquaBid pic:

Here he is in his temporary quarters:

Poor guy, he's still lovely though! I'm sure with clean, warm water he'll be himself in no time!

I can't see the pics. But judging by your beautiful avatar photo, if anyone can get him back to glory, you can!

I was expecting his 'now' photo to be a LOT worse than it was; he still looks lovely. I bet he is just a bit sulky after his ordeal :)

He's still beautiful. I got one of her bettas also and I live only 4 1/2 hrs away. With priority shipping it still took 2 days for my guy to arrive.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I'm sure he'll get back to his original form, but it's just sad to see what happened to him. I've been working on a new divided 10 gallon that should be done by the end of the day, and he will be in that. He'll be on a good, mixed diet and should come around soon.
