Biocube 14 setup

I've come across a biocube 14 for 40 bucks on craigslist brand new all that is missing is the hood but im not sure if this setup will be good for a betta?I've read the current is too strong.Does anyone have any expierence with the biocube?

If the current is too strong, baffle it with an aquarium sponge, like the ones that are in filters or pre-filters. :) I have a 14g myself, though not a biocube, and my betta loved the space!

Alright cool that sounds good.I want to make this a planted aquarium I just gotta find some lights that i can make work since the lid is missing from it.

Which biocube is it (manufacturer?) I think they're very nice looking and would make a great planted tank. Pictures, please!!

It is an oceanic biocube.I decided not to buy it however i did get donated to me a 20 gallon long from a friend which should be perfect for what i want.
