My Crowntail Betta and his Home Pics/Video

I originally had this guy in a 2.5 aquarium. (Old tank I use to have.)

But upgraded him to a 5 gallon tank as it is easier to maintain a stable temperature and overall I feel like 5 gallons is ideal for a betta to live a happy life.

His old home.

And his new home. (Link below)

Thanks roypattonphoto!

I was thinking about buying some pantyhose and putting it in front of the waterfall somehow to help baffle the water. So far my Betta has learned to avoid the area where the water falls so he doesn't get pushed around. But I would still like to slow the flow of the water somehow.

I looked up the Anacharis plant you were talking about. I like them. I may have to buy some. :D

Aw, that filter isnt too bad to baffle, you just need to be willing to try. I baffled mine, even without AQ sponge, hah.

I like it and do recommend it be baffled, its very, very strong and could blow out his fins.

Thanks! He is quite a lively and active little guy.

I bought him a "Betta Hammock" which can be seen in the video. For those that don't know, it's a fake leaf that you stick to the side of the tank so that your betta can rest on it near the surface of the water. But he doesn't use it. I have tall fake plants in the tank that he likes to rest in and chill out for a bit. He sleeps in them every night.

So I noticed yesterday and the day before that, that he uses his leaf hammock sometimes. So at least I didn't buy that in vain. I am considering buying another one say he has another spot to rest. Or I may put it next to the other one so he has more space to rest.

And I don't really like naming my fish. But I decided, why not, and named him Kenshiro. After the main protagonist in the anime "The Fist of the North Star."
