My female has never had eggs?

I really wanted to breed my purple delta tail female (not sure what male yet) when I get back from my spring university session (Mid-June). I have been doing a ton of research on breeding betta fish but I am a little confused with the whole female-egg thing. I see pictures of your guys female bettas and they all look like they are filled with eggs, but my girl has never looked like that. She was very young when I got her in February.. I'd say she was a tad longer than an inch. So I am confused why my female has never had eggs but everyone else's females do before they are even conditioned.

Could she be a plakat he?

I don't think so.. I can see the "egg spot" and she was in a community tank at the pet store with 40 + other females (siblings) and they all got along perfectly fine. She's never built a bubble nest while all my other males have them every other day. Also she is WAY smaller than all my males. And I've never seen her flare.. Well except the day that I brought her home, I put her cup by one of my males tanks to "introduce them" while I was checking her tank and she gave a little flare, but I've never seen one other than that.

Have you ever conditioned her? Conditioning helps them to fill up with eggs.

Some females are naturally fat while others are thin (specially the long finned). It's nothing to be concerned about. But you could feed her more than usual if you want her to be fatter.
