The most awesome bulb for small tanks lives at walmart..

5 bucks too!
Finally, a light that isnt yellow tinted! I was being so anal about that
I hate the word anal, just best adjective in use at that point, sorry just had to clarify.

Btw, the light bulb was 5 bucks, and fit my Aqueon 5 gallon, and is awesome! the bulb is in a plastic package, titled "mini aquarium florescent light bulb"

Grump ^

it's just a replacement cfl bulb, lol
I use them in my tanks too, I got one in petco that the base was so huge it wouldn't fit in the hood, the wal mart ones are nice and slim

also, I have a quick question, I have some type of opaque film on the sureface of my tank. I think its because the tops of these plants stop the filter's ripples from reaching them. Should I move them or is it okay? my fish is fine as always. How long do you keep catptpaapaata leaves in ??

Yeah, looks really good! I hate the yellow tinge too, it really kills the colour! but your betta is looking great, and I really like the setup too.

Does it look a bit like a thin oil slick? It's probably just the natural bacteria coating on the surface. It bothers me, too, but without a surface skimmer it will pretty much always be there.
