Alright, so I still have plans to possibly try a spawn this summer.
I know that I'll need to start conditioning my pair soon, so I need some help deciding what male to use. First I have Baloo, blue/green marble DBT (HM or DT type?). Second I have Apollo, Dalmatian DT with translucent fins.

With Baloo, if I find a nice either solid blue/green or marble HM female would the offspring be mostly HM or DBT ? I guess I'm asking what tail type is dominant.

And for either, what traits should I look for in a female to make the offspring better?

DT x HM will mostly be HM. Some will have wide dorsal while others look regular. If you breed F1 to a DT, you will have more DT to sT.

Any HM female would make nice offspring. Try to find one that has an equal or a small anal fin. Hopefully the anal fin of the offspring will be equal to the caudal.
