Talking New here =)

Hello I'm a new betta fish owner...I saw him on the clearance rack and couldn't resist the sad look on his face His name is Clarence

I've been searching the board for a good couple days and did everything right (hopefully!) He is now happily in his new 10gal tank with a heater, set at a steady 80 degrees, and plenty of silk plants and places to hide...once I figure out how to post pictures I will do so.

So now I'm addicted and would like to give him buddies! Which algae eater would you guys recommend for my little buddy? No snails because I've heard they breed like craaazy and I'm not ready for snail babies

Thank you in advance

Otocinclus would be a good algea eater, but they need lots of algea (some find it hard to adjust) and they need to be kept in groups of 3+, and they need a mature tank. The best algea eater for you would be Yamato-NumaEbi, or Amano Shrimp. They are great algea eaters, and a heater isn't necessary for them.
