My VT boys

Ah, I just finished setting up their tank yesterday...

I didn't tell you I bought a new VT, did I? About a week ago from Petsmart. I had to have him, I fell in love with his colours.

I named him Chartreuse, because his deep red colour reminded me of wine...then I found out that Chartreuse wasn't red wine at all. The name stuck though.

So these are the new roomates, Ruben and Chartreuse! They're sharing a split 5.5 gal tank.

I just need to go out and get proper lighting, and the report cover spines for thedivider. Right now I have some plastic wedged in the sides (not seen in the pics) so they don't wiggle though the gaps.

Here's Ruben (the boy I rescued from Big Al's with ich & swimming issues)
His body used to be really green, which I loved. It's turned more blue now. :/

And here's Chartreuse~

Btw, tank is STILL cloudy from the Fluval sustrate! It cleared up a bit today. But this is what it looked like whenI first rinsed it!

They're both beautiful, but Chartreuse seems to have a bit of fin rot. I think Ruben may have it, too. I'd start dosing them with aquarium salt if I were you. You don't want it to spread.

Pretty!!
I have a male VT too, I like how flowy and elegant their fins are.
The setups for them look cool.

Both of them had fin rot when I bought them. Ruben's is improving, not so much Chartreuse's since he's still new. I'm already treating them with salt though. :)

That's good, just wanted to be sure. I hope I didn't come off as critical or anything.

Beautiful guys!

Chartreuse has the exact same colour pattern as my VT boy Wilder. Makes me wonder if they're related somehow ;)

Thanks all!

Johnificent, you can find them at the craft and knitting section in Walmart for 87 cents each. You also need report cover spines, but I'm having a hard time finding some so it's wedged plastic for now.
