Hey, all. It's been a while since I've taken any pictures of the sorority, let alone updated on any of my other healthy girls!
As some of you know, I've been having a rather *ahem* crappy (to say the least) columnaris problem in the tank, I'm narrowing it down to overstocking. 6 seems to be the magic number so I don't think I will be adding any more fish. I lost my poor Nina last Monday to the disease, and now Daiquiri has a pretty nasty lesion on her side above her gill flap... Treating aggressively and I think we're making progress. Using what I learned to try and keep the swelling down and treat the infection. Thank you, guys. On a more positive note, Delilah's "lesion" doesn't look like it's progressing, and looks more like a scar now. I'm keeping her out of the sorority for a while just to make sure, but she's looking good. :)
I added the new girl, who I've named April for lack of a better name, mainly so I could preventatively treat the tank as a whole, and to limit the aggression that comes from removing females from the tank. She's getting along with the others great! Stress stripes are at an all-time low, and I have a good feeling about the healthy ones.
ANYWAY on to picture updates!!!
This little story I have to explain... I've been feeding them antibacterial pellets (tomorrow's their last day! yay!) and as some of you know the Jungle brand pellets are about as big as the Wardley's ones. so HUGE. Anyway a particularly large one slipped in, and this is their attempt at eating it. In the end they all failed and gave up.
Passed on to Jayde
This one's all warped-looking... This is the exact moment April caught the pellet:
April again. Reminds me of Daiquiri...
April and Noelle

Mew! (She was smart enough to get her tail bitten... For some reason it's not growing back right now, but I'm hoping once I get them back on NLS pellets and brine shrimp it'll start growing again)
Noelle and Jayde... You can see the red showing up on her tail! I'm hoping that's coloring, and not blood. It looks like coloring though... I think I'm seeing a bit of marbling!
4/5 fish in the tank
Look at that face... Her pectoral fins are getting so blue!
Faye and April
Aaaaand Noelle again.
And for you fish disease buffs out there, I took these pictures in part to update you all, but also to look for any physical columnaris symptoms. I fortunately don't see anything... But if any of you see something that I don't, let me know ASAP!!! thanks, and I'll probably be posting more... I just need to sleep now. lol
