New unnamed boy

I'm not sure what to name him think I'm going to let my son name this one. He is an impulse buy, was curious if anyone can tell me what kind he is? The lady at the fish store didn't really know and she was thinking he is a she but he's really small so not sure if it's too early to tell. The flash makes him look more red, but he is a brown-ish. I'm glad I nabbed him when I did since as I was browsing, I don't think she takes as good a care as I thought she did. 3 of the VT's she has swim lopsided, were sucking on the gravel, and had serious fin rot. :( :( :( I wish I could have bought them all, but I got this boy for $5 and he is a looker! Very.. non-responsive atm though since he just got to the store today then had to bobble around in my bag home. I hope he adjusts nicely. Anyway, here he is:

Daw he is a cutie :) I hope he feels better he might be a halfmoon plakat or plakat mix or could be a female its happened to me before.

Such a cutie! He looks like a plakat (maybe halfmoon pk, but hard to tell when not flaring)... although his ventral fins are really short which might hint he's a she. It's hard to tell with him in the bag though.

he is a dragon but not fully and thats why he looks freckled. I would name he/she Freckles. I like that name because it doesnt matter girl or boy.

My son is being a real butt about coming up with a name. We wound up going through all Christmas names before I just told him NOTHING TO DO WITH WINTER lol. So he/she is still unnamed. I have 'it' in a temporary 3rd divided corner of my 10gal tank until my 7gal gets a heater. Its fins are clamped and seems very antisocial so I covered that corner of the tank for the day. I'll check on him/her/it tomorrow and see if I can get better pictures. Thanks for all the name suggestions!

My son finally came up with a name that I don't mind. Robot Fish. I guess the scattered scale armor is kinda fitting to his name too. Anyway I took some more pics hoping it's enough to determine the official gender of my Robot Fish! Was shipped as a boy, but the fins are just really short.


This last pic is how I temp. divided my tank into 3. I really like the homemade divider over the store ones.
