my HMPK may be a King!!

hey everyone! i have measured my Kane today while cleaning out my tank...no worries it was a quickie. he measured a full 2.1 inches...do you think he is a king? or maybe just huge for a HMPK??? let me know

2 inches in body length is normal range for a betta. HMPK tend to be on the bigger side any way.

Your betta's color looks unusual... is he very iridescent (shiny and metallic looking)?

yeah he is what they call platinum white...shiny and only the body is 2 inches...i didnt count the fin...

Kings are 4-6 inches I think. 2 is normal range. And its not just the size. Kings are more "bulky" like this:




Just seeing at the pic you have lets me know its a normal pk. nice coloring though.

That's normal. Kings are just big plakats. Like 1fish2fish said HMPK are usually big anyway.

Do all PK's do that twist with their dorsal fin like in your 3rd pic? I got my first PK yesterday and he's been doing that since I put him in the tank, just wanted to make sure it's normal and not some distress signal. lol
