Miss Fishy Fishy has an odd stripe...

I've seen what a stress stripe is... She had one in Walmart and didnt lose it until I got her lined out at home.
I've followed the water, temp, and food requirements according to the acceptable levels mentioned in this forum.

I'm just curious if you've seen this before, and if its ok. Thx!!!

(The spots in the bowl were from a LIFEGUARD treatment I administered to her when I brought her home)

that's normal. that vertical bar means she is healthy, happy and ready to mate.

She'll probably lose it after a little while. My female gets those too when she's near my male during waterchanges. If she's acting abnormal other then her appearence then I'd be worried but it looks like she's got breeding bars.

She's such a sweet fish. She's so curious, and she's got a very spunky spirit. I think she would make a real good fishy mama

I had a veil tail male... she would flare every time she would see him thru their bowls.

She's very interested in other fish

no need to worry. she'll develop more bars as she matures. when she is relaxed (i.e. not flaring or not seeing other bettas), the bars will just fade.
