Newts!

Sooo I have a couple of fire bellied newts. You never hear much about them, since I'm always talking about the fish!
I figured I'd take a few pictures to show them off!

One boy all fat and happy after being fed.

The same newt hanging out in my hand while I was giving him a health-check up.... Needless to say he wasn't very happy with me.

Nomming on some brine shrimp. Lots of brine shrimp.

Trying to nom me.

Both of the boys at dinner. They're such MESSY eaters! They're getting spoiled with the frozen food. Theyd make less of a mess with their pellets.

^^This was a funny feeding time... Sometimes they get into little fights over food. They have no teeth, so they'll gum each other on the arm or tail. No damage done, and it usually ends quickly, but it's funny watching them think they're so tough.

Anyway thought I'd share!
For all of you that were there when I first rescued the boys, They're now in a very nice 10 gallon tank, with a bit of land for them to bask on. Not as much as I would like... But I tried driftwood and it only molded and made the water brown. Soooo I had to take it out. Still working on getting them more land. Either way they seem happy. MUCH happier than they were before I took them with me.

They're relatively easy to take care of... The only issues are you need a 10 gallon tank for just two, they need a variety of foods, and they're MESSY!!! Like super messy!

And thanks, I love my boys! I tried to adopt them out once, but nowadays I'm not sure if I could bring myself to do it!
