Having trouble passing waste?

So for the past day or so Maka hasn't been able to pass anything but this long stringy poops that are the normal color of the stuff she usually passes but it's taking her hours to pass them. She still hasn't passed the one hanging from her now. She's acting very lazy and I want to get eposm salt to help with it but I wanted to check with you guys. She's also refused food today and yesterday was spitting it out.

When did you start noticing the symptoms? Yesterday.
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how? Not yet.
Does your fish have any history of being ill? Never.
How old is your fish (approximately)? By her size she's about two months.

Bi-weekly water changes as in one every 2 weeks or did you mean twice a week? Is your fish bloated? It may be an internal parasite but I would wait to hear from someone else who may know more about it.

It might also help your fish to feed six days a week and fast one.

I'm not sure how to fix your current issue though.

I could be mistaken here, but I think you still need to add water conditioner to r/o water. They still need some of the properties from the conditioner. I believe I read that in one of the stickies on here actually.

Thanks. I mean by bi-weekly twice a week. She's getting worse now! I'm fasting her for today but she can't move off of her silk plant. She's trying but she can't move off of it at all. I'm going to see about getting some eposm salt and AQ salt soon. By soon I mean I'm calling my mom and asking her to pick it up at work.

I would get her in QT to treat, lower the water temp to 76-78F range and float the QT in the heated tank

Pre-mix the treatment water in a 1gal jug of dechlorinated water-add Epsom salt 2tsp/gal and use this water for the 100% daily water changes for 7-10 days...fast for the first 3 days and then offer half feeding twice a day during treatment.....the sooner you can start treatment the better the outcome....

With R/O water you need to either add a mineral/electrolyte replacement like Equilibrium or use a 50/50 mix of tap/R/O water for long term health-be sure and use dechlorinator with tap water...

Once she is better and back in her regular 1.5gal unfiltered tank-I would make 1-50% and 1-100% a week water changes to maintain water quality....

Okay...The thing is the only QT thing I have is too small and that's her cup. The tank's heater is a pre-set I can't lower the temp...I'm treating her with the eposm salt and doing the waterchanges with the eposm salt mixture won't be a problem. I'll do the first phase of treatment today.

What about trying something like a smaller (but still roomy) tupperware container (no lid though) for a QT?
