Red face why so small? D:

i adore these tanks. they're just adorable in design, with the beautiful backgrounds. but, from what i know, they have two sizes:
.5 gallons
1 gallon

.______. maybe we should contact the maker(Hagen, i think), and petition them to make a bigger size. Xd anyone else like this idea?

EDIT: oh, gosh, that pic's HUGE. .____. sorry 'bout that. should i just link to the pic, or is it fine?

I'd certainly appreciate something in the 3 gallon range! <3 Squares are so stylish! <3

I love the colorful backgrounds...I'm perplexed by the tiny little "sandbox" of gravel though....And of course like everyone says, it's too small. I don't know if they would make a larger one, but it can never hurt to email the company and suggest it.

Why not make ur own? A decent petri dish in the middle of a 5 gallon? Looks similar enough...

they have them in a gallon, and the company, if i'm not mistaking, makes bigger tanks, so why not make this in a bigger size? :d they're pretty popular tanks(sadly), so i'm sure they'd make money with larger sizes.

the sandbox in the middle, is for a plant. .____o when i got back into bettas, i saw it, and many talked about taking the plant out to give the fish more room.

I figured it was probably for a plant, but then why not just put gravel all over the bottom? I suppose in such a small tank it's easiest not to have the bottom completely covered in gravel, not to mention it would take up valuable space...but if they realized that when they were designing it you'd think they would have realized that it's too small in general!

if companies would make proper sized tanks for bettas, i'm sure they'd sell more of them. >3> like this one. i adore the design, just not the size. if it were bigger, i'd buy it. :d

the next size up for a tank that is comparable to that design would be the Fluval EBI Nano Tanks (PDF Link, Scroll Down to bottom of brochure like page 18 of Brochure), theyre 30 Liters, but i think that translates to about 8 gal in US terms,

edit: you also have the Fluval Spec: which is 7.6 Liters, which is 2 gallons in US terms...

hope this helps

I love the fluval tanks! I'm glad they also don't show goldfish in there. Good. They're not idiots...
