Question Help indentify new Betta?

Hey there, recently I just got two new Bettas. I already know one is just a reuglar Betta splenden but the other...well her tails aren't as big. I think she could be a Short tail Betta but I'm not sure. She's also kind of small so maybe she just hasn't reached adulthood yet and her tails and fins will grow bigger? I don't know. She's a female and her name is Nehro.

Any ideas? (Sorry if lighting is kinda bad by the way. >.<)

I think she is a growing baby girl :) though, is that her permanent home? if it is, i would recommend upgrading it to a 2.5 gallon tank with a heater :) adorable betta! X)

That's what I thought too ;) Also, no this isn't her permanent home. I'm going to get a bigger bowl soon. Thanks for the info too :D

pretty sure all the domesticated style bettas are considered splendens, just different tail/fin types. this thread has pictures of the different types, with male and female pics, if you wanted to check them out

Ohh! Thanks, that makes sense. I've always been a little confused with that.

I don't think I even realized there was anything but blue and/or red veil tail bettas till I actually started looking into buying one a few months ago, lol. still kind of amazed at how much variety there is.

Haha. x] So that means my female, Nehro is either still growing into a Veiltail or maybe a Short-tail/Plakat and my male Oskar is a Veiltail <3 I've always been wondering what it's called because I've had the same type my whole life. The ones the generally sell at Pet Stores. Thanks so much for that link. ;)
