Also anyone who breeds, she has a white bulb, almost like a belly button, between her pectoral and anal fin. Does she have eggs or wanna mate already? Shes three months old.

First, she's a crowntail, not combtail :/ The white "bulb" is her ovipositor and it doesn't indicate a readiness to breed. She'll either swell up with eggs or display vertical bars.

She's a cutie though! Congrats on the new little girl :))

I was told she was a combtail from Petco so I go with it. :P they sometimes breed bettas back there ( I got a peek!!!! ) This employee said she was bred with a dark blue crowntail male and a blue/red veil female. Also I was informed her caudal "spikes" arnt long enough to be crown and her caudal fin shape is more rounded. Oh well I love her for who she is not what she is! :3 shes a very fiesty eater!

if you're able to get pics soon, we could tell you. we don't really trust most pet store employees. x-X

if she's a 1st gen from a CTxVT pairing, she may be a veil with some mild web reduction. not really a combtail, but almost. :3

Lol the benefit of being part of this forum :)) I remember not knowing much about bettas and now I'm surprised at how fast I can get one ready for shipping!

Does Kasumi mean anything in particular?

well my spouse named her after a video game character who had a dark blue robe and her blue matched. We name our betta only japanese names so it fit :P i think it means "mist"

I just got a female that is pink and red and I named her Sakura because i had cherry blossom lotion in my purse and it kinda fit LOL
