72 gallon sorority journal

As requested...

Ok for starters I'm not much of a journal keeper but I will do my best. I will post updates, pic and videos every now and then to keep everyone updated. In case someone missed the original thread, I upgraded my sorority to a 72 gallon last week and now have a total of 52 female bettas.

http://www.bettafish.com/showthread.php?t=69733

Today is day 6 of the sorority. There have been some small tiffs up to this point but I come home today to find 3 girls who have obviously been in some major battles. Their fins are really jacked up! I guess 3 out of 52 isn't all that bad but I still don't like it. Of course there are a bunch of others that have minor tears in their fins but those heal quickly in my experience. I should be getting more live plants this week and plan to add those in. I will post a really short video in a little bit I took last week after setting it up.

I love feeding time. It sounds like popcorn when they are all grabbing at the food! Super cute!

Let me know what kind of things you would like to see posted here. I don't know what I am doing! Lol!

Wow, that sounds like fun! 52 females swimming up to you at feeding time must look pretty awesome! I can just imagine their adorable faces begging for pellets. It's adorable enough when my females who are kept separately do so, but 52?! Crazy.

My dogs decided to be the soundtrack to the video.

You should add tall plants/ floating plants with large root structures to distrupt the line of sight. There is alot of open space up at the top of the tank.

I spread out the floating plant that is already in there which will hopefully help and I'm getting more plants from someone this week. Hopefully that includes more floating ones or really tall ones since I don't ever see any in the stores.
