I have a question about nitrites.

I understand that when you're doing a fish in cycle with a betta you should never allow ammonia levels to exceed .25 ppm, by the way does that stand for parts per million? My question is does this rule also apply to nitrites. I want to be prepared for the next part of the cycle.

Thanks so much. You have all been very helpful.

Yes, parts per million and yes, you want to keep both ammonia and nitrite 0.25ppm or less..ideally 0ppm and nitrate less than 20ppm...ideally 5-10ppm.
