curing body rot

so I fell inlove with this to die for CT the other day swimming freely in a tank with tetra well after i had chosen him and they had cupped him up i got a closer look at him only to discover he had TERRIBLE body rot well since i wasnt aware of how to cure it i made the heart breaking choice to leave him there...they said they would "treat" him and took him in the back room

PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO TREAT THIS SO I CAN SAVE HIM!!

That's too bad it got that far. I haven't dealt with it myself but I've heard of people using tetracycline for body rot. The sooner you can get on curing him the better chance he'll have. I would imagine constant clean water is a must too. Good luck!
