Is there something wrong or are their fins just fine?

If you just google search "betta anatomy" you will get a number of diagrams.

I believe betta fins will curl if the pH is too high. You can try lowering the pH by adding Indian Almond Leaves.

The CT looks like he might have find rot (the black tips)?

Can you fill out the sticky in the Betta Diseases section for each betta for us? :)

When the veil tails dorsal (top) gets too long it curls until they flair and it will straighten back out. My VTs were curled when i got them and still are but look beautiful when they stretch their fins out!

I think CTs fins curl at the bottoms when they get fin rot so I think this has to just be coloring. I could be wrong! None of my CTs have ever had it so I don't have experience with it. I have a CT that has fins longer than that especially on the caudal (back) fin so it's normal.

For CT's, the rays usually blacken then curl and become "stringy". If anything, the black tips might just be coloring but since some rays have black tips and some don't it is just something to keep an eye on.

thanks for that..:D..
yea he looks beautiful wen hes stretched out..:D..
and i went back nd had a look at some of my CT old pics his fins weren't as long as they are now and there is a few black tips on a few of the rays, so im guessing that its just the coloring as his fins grow longer..
