It's amazing how much more colorful these fish get when they aren't stressed, especially females. My two crowntails switch colors so fast and often. :P

hardout!! my mate was saying NaaNaa thats not the same fish from lastnight lol..these fish are awesome cant wait to see how the other ones will turn as my smallest one K.T is still very black..

Does she have a white spot underneath her belly? For some reason that looks like a male to me... :/
The dorsal and ventrals look a little big for a female's.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I'd just bring it up. I bought my PK as a female... He's definitely not a female. lol

um im not sure bwt the white spot ay, ill have a look tomorrow..if she does have a white spot under her belly wat does that mean?

I have 3 females that look just like that. big and fat too. They have the white spots and don't fight... They actually hang out sometimes!

The white spot is something called an ovipositor, which in other words is the thing they use to lay eggs.
If there isn't one, there's a pretty good chance it's a male.

I'm almost 100% sure this is a female. I can see her ovipositor in the 2nd photo. Even though young males can have them sometimes this betta's shape says female.
