Wink Betta Fish and Algae Suckers

I have just moved my Betta into a 5 gallon tank and would like to get him a tank mate, preferably an algae suker or bottom feeder of some kind.
Any suggestions?
Tank is around 75 degrees.

Welcome to the forum.....

A 5gal tank is not big enough for any other fish species with the Betta and especially not an algae eater....good tank mates would be shrimp and/or snails in a 5gal or less tank, however, some Betta don't tolerate tank mates and may view them as a threat or meal...each Betta is different...some don't mind and other do.....if you opt for shrimp and /or snails....make sure you have plenty of hiding places......

Look forward to pic......

I agree with OldFishLady. If you want an algea eater, then you should get an Amano shrimp. They are great algea eating shrimp made famous by Takashi Amano.
