The filter is a low flow, adds light aeration to the water and helps with the quality as far as keeping healthy balance of natural flora since I do frequent water changes. Also the substrate I use is almost neutrally buoyant and the light water movement allows water to flow through the substrate which prevents bad bacteria from colinsing in the bed.

As far as tank sizes go I think it is really works for you and the fish. If I felt like he wasn't a happy fish I would upgrade him in a second. Orville just loves playing in the different windows and I love watching him ; )

I've seen them at Green Earth. Its a cute idea. Its a bit expensive for me though.

If its about a gallon I don't think its too bad a size. I think a female (which is generally smaller than a male) would be a bit happier than a male would be. I think it would be a cute hospital tank, or temporary home.
I love the idea of the windows. It would be cool if they had really huge sizes for them, like a 50 gallon. You could look in each "Hotel room" and the fish that were "vacationing there" LOL

I have a Hagen Elite mini 25w heater keeps the tank at consistently 78 degrees. I did try some 10w preset mini heaters with inconstant results.

It's pretty cute, but a bit small. So expensive though!

i love the idea of windows. I would buy it in a heart beat if it was bigger...I am looking for a decent 2 gallon right now for little Hercules (VT). He is in a temporary one gallon bowl bc he is super small but I know that he will grow. Mr Mustache (VT) started small and now he is HUGE!
