Best bed time?

hi i was wondering at what time i should put my betta to bed.
( i place a dark cloth over his tank to keep out the light and help keep his tank warmer at night.)
myself and him wake up at around 7-30 most days with the exception of saturdays and sundays :P

what cloth do you use? P: I think I ought to get my little guy one, as it gets chilly at night AND he's in the kitchen where my brother will keep him up all night when he gets home from college :P
I usually follow the same rule as my frogs, light on when the sun comes up, light off when it starts to get close to time for evening to fall so that they have time for their eyes to ajust instead of sudden darkness P: since you use a blanket, maybe leave the room lights off if there's a window nearby, or turn his light off ( if he has one ) and then turn the room light off in slow succession to give the feel of the sun going down, light getting less XD then leave the lights off till it gets fully dark, and just cover it up with the sheet in the dark. then you can turn the lights back on :P
if you can't use that method then just ease it over the tank perhaps so it gets darker and darker as evening sets in, then eventually goes all dark? ^-^; if you don't care about it being natural succession then I'd say just when it gets dark outside. same way they probably sleep in the wild naturally :D
general rule: 12 hours of light, 12 hours of night ^-^

Turn his tank light off when you go to bed, and turn it on when you wake up in the morning, simple as that! ^^

I turn the lights on when I wake up, and turn them off when I go to bed. Sometimes if I'm up very late I'll turn them off earlier then when I go to bed

My lights are turned on at 9am and off at 6pm. i go to bed at 830pm but dont cover the tanks the tank lights are off at 6pm and then between 6pm - 8:30 the tv and bedside light kind of eases them into total darkness.

I go to bed really late sometimes (like now...I should be asleep but I'm wired.) But I usually turn the light off for the betta's at around 12:00 AM because that's usually when my whole family is winding down. (We're night owls. ^^:) They then find their comfy spots and rest. I turned it down earlier because Akira fell asleep first and I didn't want to keep him or Kai awake.
