Arrow What pair?

Alrighty, I bought two males last week as breeding candidates for this summer; A Black Orchid CT and a Red/White/Blue Flagtail/butterfly(?) HM. I'm not sure who to use though, so I need some help deciding before I hunt down a female.

For the HM, I found a female on AQ that I really like..She's a bit pricy, but if they would make a good pair I might snatch her up. I'll post her picture below the boys.

Also, I have a question. For either of the boys, what would happen if I introduced a new color for their female? Like, if I were to cross a yellow or red female with my black Ochid?

*Note* The red ends on my CT have healed.

Is the first and last picture the same fish? If so I wouldn't breed him... Horrible topline.

The CT is alright but you may want to see pics of exactly what happens when you cross CT to other tail types. You'll have to cull hard and do a second or third generation to improve fins. I would get a CT fem for him.

Without knowing the background of the fish there's not much way to tell what you'll get when u mix colors

well if you mix a black orchid to a red crowntail, you will get black devils like this

but yellow is a nonred gene so if you introduce red into a yellow, the yellow will be canceled out.
