I have the big bottle without the drop top too...I just bought some cheap eye droppers from the drug store and use those to measure out 2-3 drops per gallon (my water is weird so I like to err on the side of caution when using conditioner.)

... and even Seachem states that you can dose up to 5 times the "normal" dose to detoxify nitrite in an emergency. But, I'm sure it wouldn't be an ideal thing to do normally! Anyway, 6 instead of 5 drops or something like that won't hurt at all.

If you get the small (50L ?) bottle of Prime, it has a dropper top. The large bottles are the same dosage - 2 drops/gal.

I purchase it by the large bottle & pour some into the small bottle with the dropper top.

I USED to use 10 drops per gallon before I knew any better - YIKES!!! Did it that way for YEARS without any problems except wasting money!!! :)

I was thinking of buying a smaller bottle of prime... although I know I don't really need to.

No, I didn't need the smaller bottle either - BUT I sure wanted that dropper top and, what the heck, I was going to use it up anyway!

Um - no, I don't really like the sulfur smell. LOL!!!!

I just got a bottle of PRIME yesterday. I got the small bottle with a flip cap so it is easy to just use one drop. Once I use it up I plan on taking the cap and putting it on a bigger bottle. However, since my water is pretty soft I have a feeling that I will have this bottle forever!
