Question ADF in a five gallon?

So I have a five gallon with one betta and a snail...

I was wondering could I get an African Dwarf Frog?

I thought I would ask the forum before a pet store bc I know they would just want me to buy an animal:(

:)

I think you could, but ADF's are very social creatures, so make sure to get around 3.

Three isnt going to make much of a difference, your betta will be fine. He wont be shocked, just curious. Remember to feed the ADF's bloodworms and other ADF foods.

Edit: This is a link I just found, seems informative:

OH NO:( How disappointing:(

"DO NOT use large marbles, river stones, etc with the dwarf frog. They can easily get wedged underneath a large stone or marble and not be able to reach air or get crushed."

Thats what the site said and I just bought the 5 gallon and have the large marbles:(:(

Ohh, I hadnt though of that, but it makes sense what the website is saying. I guess ADF's arent for you then :/ maybe get some more snails. I hear ADF's can be a pain to feed anyways since you have the make sure the food is right in front of them.

A 5 gallon is too small! You need at least 10 gallons to add 2 ADFs.

Oh, my bad then, sorry for advising it ^^ I assumed it would be okay, because ADF's are so small and dont produce as much waste as snails do.

They like space, though. They can be hard to feed as well, and are more sensitive to water conditions. DON'T get one if you don't have a filter.
